My brain splatters, my bones shatter. I'm being dragged down to the places I hadn't dreamed were even real. My body breaks and I feel myself on concrete. I'm a pile on the floor, the only think of mine still intact: my heart. I can't break free from the chains slipping from the floor to surround me. I can't stop them from closing in on me, suffocating me. I lay there, unable to feel or to move. My eyes close and my breath escapes me. I don't know what will happen to me, and I should be scared. But I'm not. I feel completely calm.

We dance for most of the night and end up going home near 4 in the morning. I lead Silika upstairs and then remember that my sister should be back today. I walk into her room to see if she's awake, but she's not there.

Realizing that if I got in a fight would be unwise, I leap down from the tree and head back into the wastes. I hope I can find a better friend then that behemoth.
I wonder if I should have stayed and followed him, if he found any others.
Since Frankie abandoned me, I have really teamed up with anyone or got in a relationship as Pierce would say. He used to know a girl named Elise. She would always be with him. He said that the have a mutual relationship, whatever that meant. Frankie said she didn't like boys, that they were stupid, but I knew it was because Gavin did something he shouldn't. She later met David. I think she liked David more then Gavin
